The contrast and the melding of the two boats organically is what makes this such a special photo! "Legacy" is forced to go behind "New Zealand" in this classic racing maneuver working upwind on the course. Both of these identical 12 metre's were built for New Zealands' 1987 America's Cup challenge. "Legacy" was built as the 2nd of three and "New Zealand" built as the first. Together, they were known as the Plastic Fantastics because they were the first fiberglass boats ever built for the class. Neither of these went on to compete in that America's Cup in Australia. But they were instrumental in creating the final design that did compete, "Kiwi Magic." This photo is available here up to 40x40. But is available as a limited edition as large as 50x50
