Sardinia is an island in the Mediterranean Sea off the Western Coast of Italy. The fiercely independent "Sardos" would tell you thats where the association begins and ends. I spent a lovely week on the Island and fell in love with everything about it! This image is of Bosa taken from a distance so I could get as much of its medieval old town into the frame. It's been around a while and was probably first settled by the Phoenecians and it was a municipium of the Romans. It has a castle built by the ancient Tuscan family of Malaspina in the 12th Century. Walking the alleys and stairs is a medieval journey that I relished! It is known  as one of the most beautiful villages of Italy. I can't confirm it but I believe you have to get permission to paint your building to a specific color scheme :-) You can order a print here up to 42" on the long side but can be printed up to 76" as a special limited edition.
