As long as you know you need to stay out of the way of the big boats, taking a kayak or SUP around Newport Harbor in the summer is a great way to get the water side view of this nautical oasis.
These boats were fascinating to study and try and convey the hopefulness they all held for their coming new life while preserving the hundreds of stories already made through the years

These old wooden sailboats will be restored by students at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, RI which is one of the few places in the USA helping to continue traditional maritime woodworking skills.

Kids are kids even when lying on a mooring in a crowded anchorage.
A tender is the private boat that conveys passengers to and from moored yachts. Although us lesser heeled sailors call them dingy! This cloud turned a nice moment into quite a moment!
